President Donald Trump's approval rating has reached 47% at the one-month mark of his second term, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. This rating is higher than at any point during his first term. However, 52% of Americans disapprove of his performance, with many expressing concerns about his handling of key issues, such as the economy and the use of presidential power.

The poll indicates that while Trump's approval rating is relatively high, there is significant division among Americans regarding his policies. A majority of respondents feel he has not done enough to address high prices of everyday goods, with 62% sharing this view, including 47% of Republicans. Additionally, 52% believe he has overstepped his presidential powers, particularly in efforts to shut down federal agencies and elevate Elon Musk to a prominent role in government.

Despite these concerns, Trump's approval rating is higher than it was at the beginning of his first term and when he left office in early 2021. According to a Pew Research Center survey, 73% of Americans believe Trump has clear goals for his presidency, though opinions on his success in achieving them are divided.

The poll also reveals a partisan divide, with 76% of Republicans expressing confidence in Trump's leadership skills, while Democrats remain largely skeptical. As Trump continues his second term, Americans remain split on whether his administration will be successful in the long run.
