New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton's reported "secret lover" deleted her social media accounts following a Page Six report revealing their romance, the outlet reported on Friday (May 31).
Asiana Jayd 'AJ' Hung-Barnes, 27, a New York City hospitality worker, was identified as the woman "tangled up" with Stanton since his 2022, following his breakup from actress Priscilla Quintana, in Page Six's initial report on Thursday (May 30). Hung-Barnes' Facebook, X and LinkedIn accounts, which were all active at the time of the report being published, were all deleted hours later while her Instagram page remains private.
A source with knowledge of the situation told Page Six that Stanton, 34, "doesn't like his business being out there" and that Hung-Barnes has a tendency to be "reckless on social media." Page Six obtained photos and videos from Hung-Barnes' TikTok account, which was deleted prior to the other social media platforms, showing her at Stanton's homes in New York City and Tampa.
The 27-year-old also reportedly shared a handwritten note stating, “Aj ♥’s G,” with the caption, "That I do," on her Snapchat account. Hung-Barnes also shared TikToks with the terms "sneaky link," which is slang for secret lover, and "situationship," as well as selfies wearing Yankee hats and attending games at Yankee Stadium.
“[She is] tagging along during the baseball season, staying in fancy hotel suites that he discreetly books for her,” a source told Page Six.
Hung-Barnes was also reported to have joined Stanton in Tampa during Spring Training earlier this year. Insiders also noted that the couple prefers to communicate on Snapchat as Stanton prefers the privacy of the app over texting.
Stanton is currently hitting for a .225 average with 13 home runs, 29 RBIs and a .471 slugging percentage for the first-place Yankees through their first 58 games of the 2024 MLB season.
