Confused Bride Unsure About Taking Fiance's Surname Which Is Her First Name

There are many decisions that come with arranging a wedding and the married life that follows it, but one bride named Shannon is wrestling with a really tough choice. She isn't sure about taking her husband-to-be's name but not because she is having an identity crisis - it's because her fiance's last name is the same as her first name - Shannon.

The potentially future Shannon Shannon wrote about her quandary on WeddingBee.com, explaining that after dating her man for nine years, she is not bothered by the name, saying, "His last name didn't matter to me because I love him." She went on to explain how she wants her last name to be the same as her kids', when they have them, but she isn't sure how silly it would be to become Shannon Shannon.

Commenters have suggested many ideas from keeping her maiden name and having her husband adopt it, to both her and her husband getting a brand new last name, to just going with her first name and no last name.

Meanwhile, plenty of people think she should embrace the uniqueness of her new name:

Shannon responded saying how she appreciates all the suggestions and will consider them all.

We'll have to check back in in September of 2019 after her nuptials to see if she is the new Mrs. Shannon Shannon!
