New Jersey Plans to Create Anthony Bourdain Food Trail

An Official Anthony Bourdain Food Trail May Be Coming to New Jersey

Officials in Anthony Bourdain's home state of New Jersey are trying to establish a food trail in the Bourdain's name, paying tribute to the beloved television personality and some of his favorite places to dine in the Garden State.

The chef, food critic and star of hit TV series No Reservations and Parts Unknown was born in New York City but grew up in Leonia, NJ, spending much of his formative years alternating between northern New Jersey and the Jersey Shore.

"There's no question that Anthony's road to fame was not an easy one," NJ State Assemblyman Paul Moriarty said in a statement to The Inquirer. "Even after international fame, he never forgot his Jersey roots. Each episode, Bourdain brought his homegrown wit, charm and sense of humanity to his viewers. He became a New Jersey food icon."

Moriarty has proposed legislation that the New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism establish an official 'Anthony Bourdain Food Trail' that includes ten restaurants the chef visited on a 2015 episode of CNN's Parts Unknown, that highlighted New Jersey.

In case you want to start the Bourdain Food Trail before it become official, those establishments are listed below from north to south Jersey.
